2 Indonesian Driver Ready to Follow Formula Renault 3.5 2015

Both Sean Gelael and Philo Armand on track at 1st Pre-season test of FR 3.5 in Jerez, last March.

Formula Renault 3.5 season 2015 will be followed by two drivers Indonesia, namely Sean Gelael and Philo Paz Patrick Armand. Both joined in different teams, where Sean joined the team Jagonya Ayam with Carlin, where the birth of 1 November 1996 will race alongside Tom Dillmann, the Frenchman who is experienced in the single-seater arena. While Philo recruited Pons Racing team, where the driver who are born March 12, 1996 teamed up with Roberto Merhi , the Spaniard who now joined Manor F1 Team.

Both of them have followed two pre-season tests Formula Renault 3.5 in 2015 which was held at Jerez and Aragon which located in Spain. At Jerez circuit on the first day of pre-season tests, Philo who appeared last season in Formula Renault 2.0 Alps is unexpectedly outperformed Sean at 14th place with best laptime 1 minute 28.515 seconds, 0.45 seconds ahead of Sean, who finished 18th. On the second day of the test, Sean behind surpass Philo at 9th place with best laptime 1 minute 29.292 seconds, 0.769 seconds ahead of Philo.

The second pre-season test the Formula Renault 3.5 took place in Aragon, Spain. On the first day of Sean finished 15th with best laptime 1 minute 42.281 seconds, while Philo unfortunanely finished on the last place (21 of 21 drivers), left behind 2.178 seconds from Sean. On the second day only Philo who took part and improved his time and finished 16th with best laptime of 1 minute 42.395 seconds, 0.244 seconds slower than his team mate.

About the targets that carried each driver, Sean has targeted the top five at the end of the driver standings with hope of a Formula 1 team which intends to recruit him. Not impossible because last season champion, Carlos Sainz Jr. recruited by Scuderia Toro Rosso for this season. Although the status of debutant, Sean sure can directly compete. Had reached the top three in the pre-season test is a provision conviction to wade through this season.
